Corea developed his piano skills by exploring music on his own. A notable influence was concert pianist Salvatore Sullo, from whom Corea started taking lessons at age eight and who introduced him to classical music, helping spark his interest in musical composition. (De aquí en adelante se pudrió todo)
It was a day while playing in a bar that appeared legend Miles Davis and invited him to join his band of jazz fussion. He has composed several jazz standards: Spain, La Fiesta, Armandos Rhumba (my favorite) and Windows. There are many things that catch my attention of Chick Corea. One of the most strikes me is his creative ability. Since I participated with Miles Davis, he has not stopped creating music. As of 76 he has not stopped making records until today. His musical language seems inexhaustible.
I share something with Chick Corea, his admiration for Mozart. Because this guy not only plays jazz, also plays classical music. Has an album called "Mozart Sessions" arranged by Mozart brought the language of jazz. Also recorded three concertos for piano and orchestra. Not any jazzy can do that. (Get down of The Pony)
If there is a god, it must be Bach and if there is a Jesus must be Mozart, and I'm sure Chick Corea is the reincarnation of Mozart only this time ventured into jazz instead of classical.

"el chico correa" really rocks! a very talented and creative musician
